Mission & Vision
Founded in 1975, Santa Clara County School Boards Association offers professional development, board member training, communication, networking and learning opportunities to its members. We promote public education for the thirty-one elementary, high school, and unified school district Boards of Trustees in Santa Clara County, MetroEd, and the Santa Clara County Board of Education. In concert with the California School Boards Association (CSBA), SCCSBA seeks to build an effective foundation for the education of all children in our diverse communities, by providing education advocacy and policy development.
One of the most active County Associations affiliated with CSBA, SCCSBA sponsors a number of well-attended events during the school year, including our Fall Networking Dinner, Legislative Brunch, Hoffmann Awards Dinner, and a variety of networking breakfasts/lunches and educational events both in person and on Zoom.
Looking forward to elections in November every two (even) years, we hold Board candidate workshops in early June of those years to continue stimulating interest in school board service. We also host an annual New Board Member Workshop in January, for those who have been recently elected or appointed to school boards.
